
In November 2007, the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 held its annual general meeting in Manila and agreed, based on the common awareness that global warming is a serious environmental problem that threatens the existence of humankind, Asian cities will co-operate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

As the first step towards this goal, the Asian Workshop on Energy and Environmental Technologies, a working level meeting, was held as per the details below.
