Ranger Operations

The Tokyo Park Rangers' mainly perform operations such as the following.

1. Spreading and enforcing appropriate behavior by instructing tourists and other visitors to Tokyo's national parks, quasi-national parks, prefectural natural parks, and areas for the advancement of nature preservation, as well as the surrounding areas
2. Monitoring Tokyo's national parks, quasi-national parks, prefectural natural parks, and areas for the advancement of nature preservation for illegal activity such as the theft of plants, and correcting such behavior
3. Inspecting and performing emergency repairs of natural park facilities such as signposts and trails
4. Assisting with efforts to prevent invasive species from entering the Ogasawara Archipelago, by inspecting arriving and departing passengers and luggage on passenger ships and sightseeing boats
5. Instructing and advising tourism service providers in the Ogasawara Archipelago
