Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park
Chichibu-Tama-Kai National Park is a nature park featuring unblemished, beautiful nature that straddles Tokyo, Saitama, Yamanashi and Nagano Prefectures.
One characteristic trait of this park is its purely non-volcanic mountain range. A beautiful natural landscape sculpted with mountains and deep-lying valleys, the areas around the Akigawa Gorge and Lake Okutama are two of the main destinations for nature trips within Tokyo.
As the closest national park to central Tokyo, the park is frequently used by outdoor enthusiasts as a place for various hiking- and mountain climbing-related activities, such as camping and canoing.
