Accessing Oshima Island

You can get to Izu Oshima by large ferry, high-speed jet ferry, or airplane. Ferries: Tokai Kisen operates several ferry services each day from Tokyo’s Takeshiba Pier (8 minutes on foot from JR Hamamatsu-cho Station). The crossing time is 4 hours and 10 minutes by large ferry, and about 1 hour and 45 minutes by high-speed jet ferry. Flights: New Central Airservice operates three commuter flights a day from Chofu Airport (15 minutes from Chofu Station by bus). The flight duration is approximately 25 minutes.
