Umi no Furusato Mura

Notice

We will be repairing parts of the roadway to Umi no Furusato Mura that have become dangerous as a result of deterioration in the pavement. Due to this repair work, starting from October 1, some parts of the roadway will be closed. We will be providing free transportation between the Oshima Park bus stop and Umi no Furusato Mura. Please use this service. For details, see the s. We apologize for any inconvenience during the repairs and ask for your understanding and cooperation.

What Is Umi no Furusato Mura?

In 1981, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government established Umi no Furusato Mura and Yama no Furusato Mura as part of the 1981 Tokyo Metropolitan Comprehensive Implementation Program. Currently, Umi no Furusato Mura is managed and run by its designated manager, Oshima-machi.
Umi no Furusato Mura has many facilities for the comfort and enjoyment of all visitors. For example, there are campgrounds, lodging facilities (such as the Central Lodge), and tennis courts.

Central Lodge

The Central Lodge is a lodging facility that operates 365 days a year. The lodge includes a shop and a cafeteria, as well as round-the-clock security, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all visitors, including campers at the Umi no Furusato Mura campground. The Central Lodge also hosts some nature classes, which are open to the public.

    365 days a year (from 3 p.m. to 10 a.m. the following day)

    General: 2,000 yen Elementary and middle school students: 1,600 yen Children not yet of school age: 800 yen

Reservations

Please make a reservation in advance. To make a reservation, please contact us, via telephone or other means, any time on or after the first day of the month that is three months prior to your planned stay. (For example, to make a reservation for any day in December, contact us on or after September 1.) Contact information is provided below. (We accept reservations between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.)

Cafeteria

Please apply to use the cafeteria in advance. The cafeteria is open to all visitors, including those not staying at the lodge. The cafeteria is self-service.

Meal prices are as follows.

  • Breakfast: 700 yen
  • Lunch: 800 yen
  • Dinner A: 2,000 yen
  • Dinner B: 1,500 yen
  • Coffee: 200 yen
  • Japanese curry, etc.: 500 yen

We also provide restrooms, vending machines, pay phones, and more.

Access

After arriving on Oshima, take the bus for Oshima Park and get off at the last stop. Take the free shuttle to the Central Lodge (about 20 minutes).

    Operating frequency: Once in the morning, and Once in the afternoon

Shuttle times change according to the arrival times of scheduled buses and boats. Please confirm shuttle times in advance.
Please make a reservation for the free shuttle in advance. Note that visitors who will be staying at the Central Lodge are given priority.

Other Information

  • Please make a reservation in advance if you will be building a campfire. Firewood is available for a fee.
  • Heating and cooling is available, as are barbecue grills and equipment.
  • Please make reservations in advance with the Central Lodge or the shop for rental equipment, orders of food, etc.
  • You can stay for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights (4 consecutive days).

Our spacious, beautiful campgrounds opened in 1986. You can relax and enjoy the outdoors at our campgrounds.

Fees

  • Deck tentTent fees (per tent, per night): 4,000 yenFacility fees (per person, per night): 300 yen for adults; 150 yen for elementary or middle school students or younger
    For example, five adults would have to pay 4,000 yen in deck tent fees and 1,500 yen in facility fees (300 yen x 5 people), for a total of 5,500 yen.
  • Freestanding tentTent rental fees (per tent, per night): 2,000 yenFacility fees (per person, per night): 200 yen for adults, 100 yen for elementary or middle school students or younger
    For example, five adults would have to pay 2,000 yen in tent rental fees and 1,000 yen in facility fees (200 yen x 5 people), for a total of 3,000 yen.

If you bring your own tent, you do not need to pay tent rental fees. Deck tents are already set up and cannot be brought in.

  • Four cooking areas (with stoves and sinks) are available, along with restrooms and picnic tables.
  • Please make reservations in advance with the Central Lodge or the shop for tents, rental equipment, orders of food, etc.

  • Cookware and tableware are available free of charge.
  • We do not accommodate recreational vehicles (RVs) or camper vans.
